Senior Ministry

Our Seniors meet the 4th Monday of the month for Fellowship, share a meal, and play a game of BINGO. Outreach activities include preparing meals for the homeless in Martinsburg.

“O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.”
Psa 71:17-18

Men’s Ministry

Through bible study, fellowship and mentoring we help men become the man God intends for them to be. Men’s ministry intentionally draws men to God. Fellowship strengthens the leadership in the church. Men’s ministry serves the needs of the congregation and community.

Teen Ministry

Youth Group (6th-12th)

As students begin to find their “identity”, we encourage them to develop positive relationships with each other and find their purpose and meaning. It is crucial that these middle and high school students have positive role models and peers in their life. As we draw closer to each other, we also want to draw closer to God. Through worshipping, learning and laughing together, we can accomplish both.

Children’s Ministry

Child Crusaders (K-5th)

These developmental years are crucial in a child’s life. Through age appropriate lessons and activities, children will learn to love Jesus and each other.

Nursery

The staff and volunteers at Martinsburg Church are Christ understand how precious these little ones are. We provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment for your child during our 10:30 service.

Missions

Faith Feeding Freedom

A non-profit, charitable organization that feeds the homeless and hungry of Berkeley County every Friday at the Martinsburg Library. They currently serve over fifty bag lunches every week and provide hygiene products, clothing, sleeping bags, backpacks, tents, tarps, outdoor essentials, and other food items.

Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission

A non-profit that provides food, clothing, shelter, and residential rehabilitation programs in an effort to prepare men to return to the mainstream of our society and become responsible, productive members of society through ministry and service.

CCAP / Loaves & Fishes

A para-church organization that represents a collective of churches in our community, who’s mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus through the material support of local individuals and families in need. They provide food and vouchers for water/sewer, transportation, medications, clothing, cooking propane, and dental services.

Kids Power Pacs

Community Combined Ministries (CCM) currently serves 40 schools in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties through Kid’s Power Pacs (KPP), a weekend feeding ministry. KPP volunteers gather once a month to pack food bags. KPP feeds on average 900+ children during the school year; this number continues to increase, so new sponsors are always needed.

International Disaster Emergency Services

Since 1973, IDES has served as the outstretched hand of the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ to suffering peoples around the world. Physical and spiritual needs don’t have a nationality. They exist the world over, and they pop up in the form of disaster, anywhere and anytime. Traditional church missions can’t meet these needs alone. Going where the need is, when the need is, is what IDES does. They provide for 5 areas of need: disaster, hunger, medical, development, and evangelism.

Waypoint

Waypoint is best known as a church planting organization. They have helped plant churches that are leading the way in new methods of evangelism and outreach. Last year their church plants saw 9,520 in total attendance with 555 baptisms, and an average attendance of 288 each week. Many people do not know that Waypoint also serves established churches around the Mid-Atlantic region with a variety of strategic services to help them stay on mission.
